If your art is more than just a hobby to you, why not try and make some money from it? If photography is your chosen ‘profession’ you should know that there is a huge Internet market out there ready to pay for your pictures. If you learn the right way to market yourself and have what you think are great images to sell then your hobby days may be over. Here are some helpful tips that show How To Sell Photos:-

One of the best ways to see what the photography market is looking for, is to study what is already out there. Peruse a wide variety of magazines to see the type of styles and quality being used with the articles. If you’re really game, you can try and duplicate these images by testing your skill and photographing exactly what you saw. If you feel that your photographs are already up to the same standards as the images from the magazines, why not go ahead and send 20-25 of your own pictures to them? At the same time, you could also send off an additional set to the photo editor to have a look at. When all else fails, you could look into going with an agency; there are any number of possibilities.

There are numerous businesses out there on the lookout for creative services from photographers; mortgage and insurance companies are just some of them. They are often looking to be able to display quality, professional photographs online which enhance their listings for both residential and/or commercial real estate. If you are only interested in this type of work on a part-time basis, you could take it upon yourself to go out on your own, photograph some residential and/or commercial buildings and then send them into these companies to look over. All of this could be done on your own time leaving you free to pursue other projects.

The Internet and its search engines are your best bet for finding out who is looking for freelance photographers. By putting keywords like “freelance or part-time photographer required” into Google, you may end up with a list of prospective clients. If you don’t feel comfortable taking this approach, you can also try your hand at working with stock photography agencies who are out there to market pictures from across the world to the rest of the world. These agencies amass huge amounts of photographs which they then present to as many online consumers as possible. If you want a stock photography site to stand up and take notice of you and not reject you right out of the gate, ensure that whatever images you submit, are of the highest resolution and quality. You should also make sure that whatever keywords you select to go along with these images, they will generate a search by online consumers in the first two pages of any search engine selected. You are out there to be seen, not ignored.

World-wide recognition of your work is there for the taking; marketing and selling yourself and your product rests in your hands. Keep practicing your photography craft. Stay abreast of stock photography sites and what they are looking for. Try and measure up to the same (or better) standard to what you see on these sites. This means no blurry, out-of-focus images; you want to submit sharp, quality looking photographs. Watch out for companies with particular signs or logos and stay away from photographing these. Use the Internet to your advantage and remember that the possibilities on the world-wide web are limitless.

Are you tired of your same old 9-5 job? Are you looking to make money doing something else or perhaps increase the income you are already earning? If you are more than just a weekend photographer and have pictures that can impress Internet consumers who look to download images, then you can get paid doing what you love. Photos for cash through Microstock Photography, here’s how:

Cameras with 5 megapixels and 3x zoom are every bit as good as their high-tech companions, so you need to dispel this myth right from the word go. With the use of editing tools that can be found in Adobe software, these cameras can produce every bit the quality image that are produced with higher end models.

Microstock photography agencies are the key to getting your pictures seen and ultimately earning money for their downloads. You should note that stock photography sites are viewed by media personnel, web designers and various advertisers who search out the Internet looking for images they can download to meet their various needs. There are several ways you can go about getting involved with a Microstock photography agency. First, you should thoroughly research the stock photography sites on the Internet so you have a better idea of what kind of commercial pictures they are looking for. Following the research, list all of the best Microstock photography sites you find, where you think your work will be most appreciated and where you believe you can receive first-rate marketing and profit. Next, ensure you keep an updated portfolio at all times and select and submit images you think have the best commercial value.

Part of the process in making money from your digital images, is to coin your pictures. Anyone that searches the Internet has the ability to come upon anything you have submitted for viewing. In order to ensure your work is most viewed over anyone else’s, you need to use specific key words when naming your pictures. Your ultimate goal in choosing the best words for your images is to ensure that they come up in the first two pages of any search engine. Any more pages beyond that will end up with your work likely not being seen or even downloaded. If you were to click on images of animals and then used the keyword “lion”, the increased visibility to pictures with lions in them would be significantly higher.

There are several popular Microstock photography sites on the Internet some of which include royalty free photographs. These include: Shutterpoint Stock Photography, Photo Stock Plus and Fotolia.com. There are other sites which have a membership attached to them but they are free of charge; these sites are Corbis and everystockphoto.com. In addition, you may come across even more sites that do in fact charge minimal fees for becoming part of their service, however, if you are looking to make money from you photography, fees such as these are often worth the money given the commission you will end up with from the web site once your work has been sold.

While you think you are completely ready to leave that 9-5 job, remember that you are not the only one out there selling their photography. There is an abundance of competition in the market and some that have been doing this for a very long time. In order to stand out from the rest, even if you are a novice in the industry, choose photographs that are entirely unique and stand apart from everyone else. If you even think of submitting less than stellar images, you will face rejection (like so many others) right from the start. Why don’t you get Dan Feildman’s FREE Microstock Photography Report , which reveals all of the finer details.

Well it may sound complicated, but you will soon find out just how anybody with a camera and access to an Internet connection can make money from Microstock photography as explained below;-

Now you don’t necessarily need to be a world traveler to produce amazing photographs. While we have all seen the exquisite images of the monuments of the world these images are not the ones that currently win awards. A photo of a grinning child, if done well, is more likely to win an award than one taken of an illustrious monument. Photos that capture your eye, and hold it … photos that draw you in and make you remember better times … photographs that stay with you long after you have left them … these are the photographs that earn money. Photographs that transcend time and place are ones that will live on forever. It is these types of photographs that will undoubtedly yield a ton of money. If you would like to turn your every day photos into extra income I have a few tips that will help you get started.

Your every day life can produce images that can be sold over the Internet. You do not need to be a professional photographer, you simply need to be there and take the photo when you see that golden moment. Look around you, at your home, your family, your friends … these are the images that you can photograph and turn ordinary moments into extraordinary photos. With a bit of Internet research to see what consumers are purchasing, you can easily turn items in your home into incredible photographs which will earn you extra income. Read on to see a few more options that you can use to increase your monthly income!

Any photo that shows moments caught in time, endearing expressions, will sell like mad. These types of photos don’t require models or props or expensive equipment. Simple and true to life reality photos sell the most. Capturing life as it is with all its hardships and joys are guaranteed money makers.

Everyday acts such as laughing, shaking hands, yelling, walking etc make for great photographs. Again, these don’t require models or other professionals. Look to your family and friends and their interactions and always keep your camera ready. Quality photographs of everyday people are guaranteed to sell.

Another arena are photos of regular everyday items. These could be anything from the herbs in your garden to crayons on the table. To make these items work you need to photograph them in a way that gives them a new and exciting appeal that will attract the buyers eye. Whichever items you choose, always remember that you need to look at them in a fresh and new way in order to attract potential buyers. Something important to keep in mind is that if you are photographing a commercial item please remove the logo or photograph it is such a way that the logo will not show in order to avoid having the photograph be rejected.

Photos of food and beverage items are in high demand, especially by the food service industry. Photographs of mouth watering foods, fresh vegetables with dew on them, etc. are incredibly likely to sell. Always make sure your subject is front and center with no extraneous items to distract from it.

If you have the ability to think outside the box and be creative and combine that with your skills with a camera you will have the ability to earn an incredible income with this Microstock photography business. The key to being a successful Microstock photographer is being able to find the amazing elements out of the ordinary. Don’t forget that your photograph should attempt to capture the essence of your subject and portray it in such a way as to create a lasting memory to the viewer. Don’t hang around, just grab your camera and get started today!

First though, why don’t you get Dan Feildman’s FREE Microstock Photography Report , which reveals all of the finer details about how easy it really is to convert your digital photos into cash. Each Microstock photography site allows you to sign up for free in order to access its membership and the opportunity to upload your photos; please note that all of the Microstock photography sites retain the right to accept or reject your photos based on quality as well as a variety of other technical considerations.

An ongoing fallacy is that only US citizens are allowed to upload and sell their Microstock photography through the most profitable stock photography sites.

Obviously this is untrue yet it is important to note that the majority of the purchasers of stock photography are from the US due mostly to the volume of Internet users as well as the high demand from web designers, advertisers and marketers for images of items that are unavailable in the States.

Google Images is a perfect place to view the variety of subjects that are being photographed and sold via the Internet. However, while you may be seeing the variety, you certainly need to pay attention to the quality as most of the Microstock photography found here would not typically be accepted by a Stock Photography site simply because the quality is under standard. By visiting stock photography sites and comparing you will soon see what I mean by quality. Also pay particular attention to which sizes are available to upload, this is important to know prior to taking your image as you will want to make sure you have the sizes in demand. An important thing to note is try to not resize images as you will be losing quality each time you do.

While looking at the differences between Google Images versus Microstock photography sites you may notice the distinction between poor quality versus high quality is not that great, yet you want to correct any mistake prior to submitting your image for sale so you don’t risk rejection right off the bat.

You ideally want to submit Microstock photography that have not been edited with photo editing programs such as Photoshop. While these programs are great for resizing and cropping you will lose quality each time you edit the photo. The goal, therefore, is to take the perfect photo without the need for any editing.

Regardless of where you live, if you love photography and feel that you have talent in this area, you can earn money from selling your photos through online Microstock photography sites. The great thing about becoming involved in this business is that you can do it even while maintaining your current job and you have the opportunity to earn as much money as you want to make, simply by selling your existing photos.

Now, while all this may sound pretty straight forward there are certain tips and tricks that can help you sell more and save time. Turn Your Photos Into Cash is a book that gives you all the basic materials and ideas to sell your photos online as well as giving you a heads up on which sites are worthwhile and which are not.

A basic Internet search will pull up a variety of Microstock photography sites that will allow you to submit your work to them and then, if you are accepted, will allow you to sell your photos through their site. If you want to cater to particular genres you will find information about that as well. For example, Photosecrets.com specializes in creating postcards and postcard books and if you want to get involved in this particular area all you need to do is head over there and create an account in order to begin submitting your photos.

Another popular site is PhotoTipsAndTricks.com which creates calendars and posters. You may even want to set up your own web site and host your own photo store, if this is the case I recommend you check out Photosource.com. Having your own site eliminates the need to pay commissions and may be the best alternative if you are planning on making Microstock photography as your profession.

As I mentioned earlier, in today’s economy we are all looking to earn a bit of extra money to make ends meet. If you have a passion for photography don’t hesitate to take advantage of our free information that will show you how you can turn your passion into profit. Learn which photos sell best, why some people fail, and how you can make money fast by selling your photos through Microstock photography.

One of the most common questions I am recently asked here at TurnPhotosIntoCash.com is “which photos will actually sell best on Microstock photography sites?”. By now you are probably aware that I have no problems in giving away great ideas about how to sell photos, which will help anybody to begin earning money immediately, however this question is a bit of a secret amongst stock photographers

Today’s successful stock photographers rarely share the secrets to their success, undoubtedly as they fear that the market will become flooded and they in turn won’t make as much money. In the past I have heard of winning ideas and, as always, have posted them immediately to the web site to share them with my readers.

A common sense approach to earning a lot of money quickly is to choose a subject matter that is in high demand, and fortunately there are a variety to choose from. Currently anything business or technology related as well as photos of children or wildlife are in high demand. Obviously there are other opportunities that have yet gone undetected, however the ones I have listed should give you a good lead to start earning money from your collection of digital photos.

If you live in far away places you can also take advantage of the current interest in exotic locations as well as increasing interest in exotic plants and plant life. Anybody who is US based can still try to get into this market with photos of flowers, herbs and other interesting plants. Really you only need to open your eyes out their, and you will begin to see the real beauty than you can capture on film with just a click of a button.

Since I have already talked about nature I want to focus your attention on the concept of taking photos, with an eye on their uniqueness. Take for example Sunsets, Sunrises, cloud formations, pets, and crowd scenes. The main factor to money making photos will be seen in these types of photos., as they are virtually always unique, and this type of photo will always sell well on Microstock photography sites.

Are you looking for a Microstock Photography business opportunity? Why not get Dan Feildman’s free report that reveals just how easy it really is to start up a Microstock Photography Business, and how anybody can make money by just selling digital photos online… Now is that crazy or what?

When entering the Microstock photo sales arena your digital camera is the most important tool you will have. Acceptance or rejection of your Microstock images will depend foremost on the quality of the image you are selling; to take the best quality Microstock images I personally recommend a 5 mega-pixel digital camera that is set to maximum resolution.

In the beginning you may be tempted to submit all the photos you have stored on your computer yet I strongly advise against this; upload no more than 50 photos at a time and be very careful to not duplicate a submitted photo as this might lead to rejection of both photos and, in some cases, possible account closure. To avoid the possibility of submitting duplicates I recommend that you not change the file name as your PC will point out any duplicated file names; however, once you have chosen the files you wish to submit you can change the file names accordingly. If you have many file names to change there is a built in tool contained in Microsoft Windows that allows you to change multiple file names with a few clicks of the mouse.

Besides your camera the second most important factor is choosing the right keywords for your photos, thereby increasing your sales. The Internet contains a variety of sites that have tools to help you figure out which keywords would work best for your photos. Another way you can figure out keywords is to view similar photos on Google Image and see which keywords are being used for these photos. Don’t go crazy on keywords however, limit yourself to 6-10 per Microstock image as any more than 10 might be considered spam and rejected.

First and foremost, quality is key to ensure your photos are accepted; clear, bright photos are a shoe-in. If you need to reduce the photo size you should use either Adobe Elements or Adobe Photoshop as both do a great job of resizing while maintaining photo quality. Be careful to not go over a 5% size reduction as the quality will be reduced significantly.

Lastly, if a Microstock photo was rejected once, don’t resubmit it. Retake the shot, keeping quality at the forefront of your mind thereby ensuring they will accepted.

If you are deciding to get into the stock photography business, you will need a photography business plan, so your first step will be to create an attractive portfolio. An important part of a photography business is organizing your photos into easily accessible files on your computer, ideally limiting the file size to approximately 20 photos per file. Another important tip is to give each photo an easily recognizable name for quick access.

Quality is key in this business and I recommend you try to get the best shots you can since editing can sometimes reduce the quality of your photos and the end result of all your hard work might just be that they are rejected due to poor quality. To achieve the highest quality possible set your camera to an optimum resolution. Having the perfect lighting is also important and I recommend keeping the sunlight at your back when shooting outdoors and using flash indoors in order to produce better quality shots.

If your photos need cropping or other basic editing I personally recommend Adobe Elements or Photoshop as they wont diminish the quality of your photos. These programs are available for a free 30 day download from Adobe.com; however, before you start begin editing I recommend you take your time to learn the program and I have an excellent training resource, LearnElementsNow.com, that shows you some excellent editing techniques that will actually improve overall photo quality.

With digital technology we can take as many photographs as we want without processing costs so i recommend you take advantage of this and take as many photos as you need in order to get that perfect shot. Also, take your camera with you wherever you go as you never know when the perfect shot will cross your viewfinder.

Marketing your photos is best achieved through the various existing stock photography sites; be warned, however, in order to have your photos accepted you must pass a test before you can submit your photos. Here is where quality counts, making a good impression so you will not have wasted your time and resources on a failed venture.

When you have been accepted I recommend you only put up your very best work so that potential buyers don’t have to wade through sub par work to find the gems. Organize your work in such a way that purchasers can easily find what they are looking for and, hopefully they will return again and again to purchase your work. Finally, always submit your work in .jpg format as this is a universal format that is certain to be accepted by all sites.

If you are not accepted by a stock photography site don’t give up, there are a variety of other photo opportunities that will allow you to literally turn your photos into cash. This Photography Business Plan will be made perfectly clear in Dan Feildman’s free report that reveals how easy it is to start up an online stock photography business, and how to make money by just selling digital photos online.
